If my words should start a spark...
Then...keep to yourself any snide remark.
And should my words help to inspire...
Help me look within and to re-inspire my desire.
Should my words be out of place...
Help me to keep on writing...and for me to save face.
And if my words....become misconstrued...
Well then...lighten up...Don't give me any attitude.
My words are all I got...man...
I'm not just running 90 mph...without a plan.
This here...is the Poem(s) done in a "Manly" way...
'Cause Poetry is more organized than most writings...I always say.
Give a listen to words so divine...
Open to the World around you and clear your mind.
You know when you do that...everything else will follow...
So fill your mind with words...don't let it remain so hollow.
"Manly, Manly, Manly" Poetry...that's what I'm here to promote...
But what good is it to declare Poetry "Manly"...if you're not going to read what I wrote?
Better to always think of many more wonderful words to say...
Better then the ones that I have used...previous-lay.
Never let anyone's words be taken for granted...
We are already in for a wild ride on this planet.
Words can be funny and make you laugh...ha, ha...
Or be boring...and say the same 'ol blah, blah, blah.
I like words...unique within their own definition...
Stretching the galaxy through time...some beyond comprehension.
Crazier words...have I not yet even accomplished...
That snootier writers than I...would have abolished.
I like words with a Country twang...
It's cause I'm from Texas...It's a Texas thang!
You can join in with the fun of each word...
Or you can step back...and state that they're all...absurd.
But...I will always keep writing and writing words...all the time...
Because mainly...the words in my mind...always rhyme.
Funny how...writing them down here...helps a bit...
But don't read these crazy words of mine for my benefit.
The World is too wound up...Way too tight...
For you to read my Words...just to see what it is...I write.
There are better things for you to do with your time...
Why read words of mine...If you don't like it in rhyme?
There are much better things that you could also be doing...
Although...you would miss out on future Poetry rhymes...I've already started brewing.
Get ready for what "Manly" Poetry can bring to the World...
And throw out those quaint romantic passages...that have made my stomach...become curled.
Join with me in the fun...or on a serious note...
But don't settle for anything less from me...'Cause that " schtuff " just don't float !
Only join in my writing...if it is something you truly like to read...
There are tons of writers out there...One more goofy Poet...is one more...than we all need.
Take things to the Next Level...and set out to make things better...
Any old fool can write...it is nothing but compounding a letter together...with another letter.
Set a higher standard for folks you like to read...
A true writer is evident...That person will write...'til their fingers bleed !
Have you gotten here...this far...and I still haven't shaken you off the trail...
Well then...there's hope for me...this is one "Manly" Poet who will ultimately prevail !
I want to "Thank You" for reading along with some of my crazy notions...
Whether you're reading this from near or far...("far" could be...across many oceans).
I have had some fun with these words that I like to say...
What would my Poetry be with out words...anyway ?
The funny thing is...I'm having a hard time trying to stop...my runaway brain...
Oh Well...What'd ya' expect from me...these writings are the only things keeping me sane !
